Improved instructions make the certification process quicker and easier

We recently mailed updated versions of annual certification initial and reminder letters to small and midsize (1-100) groups, ahead of their renewal dates.

The Employer Center online renewal tool is the easiest, quickest and most accurate way to complete the annual certification. To encourage groups to complete the process online, we improved the Employer Center instructions to address groups with and without current access:

• If you already have access to Employer Center, your designated primary Employer Center user should log on to Employer Center to access the group Annual Certification form. Your primary user can also grant you access. When you have completed your account set up, your group Annual Certification can be accessed by opening up the ‘Certify & Renew’ link. Personalized help is available. Contact us at egmasupport@asuris.com.

• If you do not have access to Employer Center, you can go to employercenter.asuris.com/requestAccessDisplay.action to request it. You will be sent registration information to create your account. Please expect 48 to 72 business hours for receiving your registration email. When you have completed your account set up, your group Annual Certification can be accessed by opening up the ‘Certify & Renew’ link. For registration or login issues call the service center toll free at 1 (800) 505-6801.

While online certification through Employer Center is recommended, we recognize that some groups will use a fillable form. To make the process as efficient and speedy as possible, groups should email their form to us at FAXAsurisAnnualCertification@asuris.com or fax it to 1 (855) 240-6501.

We have also updated the annual certification form to help groups complete the information correctly. The questions have not changed.

• We changed previous to preceding for consistency with the wording in other forms.
• We added new instructions to avoid errors in the employee count reporting year.

• We italicized and underlined outside to improve understanding of the headquarters question.

The online certification tool will temporarily continue to produce the previous version of the form for DocuSign. We can still accept the previous version because the questions have not changed.

The updated annual certification form is available for producers and employers on asuris.com in Forms & documents for small and midsize groups.
