New EAP offers employees mental health and emotional support, and much more

April 23, 2024

Mental Health Awareness Month offers a timely opportunity for employees to explore resources available through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Our EAP, administered by global leader ComPsych®, is embedded in small (1-50) group metallic plans and available as a buy-up to groups of 51+. Their GuidanceResources® platform connects employees and their covered dependents with professional health, legal and financial guidance at no out-of-pocket cost.

EAPs provide mental health support with short-term, confidential counseling for personal health, family, financial or legal issues. They can help employees reduce stress and improve well-being by addressing minor or moderate concerns before they become major problems when left unaddressed.

In addition to an improved member intake process, a wider network of participating providers and a robust selection of self-service resources, our EAP offers enhanced digital capabilities, including:

  • Access via desktop, mobile or tablet
  • An extensive library of mindfulness and work-life balance resources
  • Employee services and trainings on a number of personal development and well-being topics
  • 24/7 crisis help and referral

Each EAP user’s intake encounter is staffed by a licensed master’s-level clinician. This enables the EAP clinicians to better assess each member’s needs and direct them to an in-network care provider, attorney or expert in family or financial matters.

Employees and covered dependents can access EAP services through any of the following ways:

  • Calling the toll-free phone number 24/7
  • Signing-in to their account on asuris.com, and viewing Care resources under Care in the main navigation bar

The new EAP toll-free phone number has been printed on all applicable member ID cards issued upon renewal since Jan. 1, 2024. In addition, it’s been printed on applicable off-cycle member cards ordered since December 2023.

We’ve created this email template (Small Group, 51+) to help you inform your enrolled employees about the new EAP.

If you don’t currently have an EAP or are considering switching from an existing third-party EAP provider, please review this brochure to learn more.
